Fall can be one of the busiest times in the homebuilding industry. For existing projects, getting buildings enclosed and shielded against the elements before winter is a pressing concern. What really makes the season busy, however, is all the preparation work for houses to be built next year. If you’re planning on constructing a home in 2016, then now is a great time for getting ideas and drafting floor plans. Since this is such a great time of year to start planning a log home, we will be traveling to three home shows over the next five weeks.
Of course, if you want to get started straight away with designing and building a Real Log Home of your own, we encourage you to contact us directly or talk with your local independent representative. However, if you would like to learn about timber frame homes in the more casual setting of a home show, then here are the shows we will be attending over the next month.
If you live in the Mountain west, then consider heading to the Log and Timber Home show this weekend in Denver. The show begins today, Friday 1-7pm and continues through the weekend, Saturday 10am-6pm, and Sunday 11am-4pm. Click here for show details. Our next show will be the Log and Timber Home Show in Springfield, MA. This is a great location since it is within a four hour drive of virtually all of New England and areas as far south as Philadelphia. So, if you live in the Northeast, why not give this home show a visit between Friday, October 16th and Sunday October, 18th. At this home show you can visit with Independent Representative C.M. Allaire and Sons, who have built many Real Log Homes featured on the blog.
The next weekend, October 23rd-25th, we will be at the Log and Timber Frame Home Show in Chantilly, VA. Since this site is just outside of Washington, DC, it also offers a central location for many of our readers who wish to come visit us at a show. If you happen to live a bit further south and west, then perhaps the Ashville, NC show will appeal to you. Running from November 6th-8th, this show is convenient to many readers in both Carolinas as well as Tennessee.
If one of these shows works for you, we look forward to seeing you there. Each of these shows’ hours are 1-7pm Friday, 10am-6pm Saturday and 11am-4pm Sunday. We keep scheduling new shows all the time, and you can check our show listings here. Or, feel free to contact us anytime to help answer any questions you have.
